Physical address of the Sixth Street Retreat:
441 E. 6th (SW corner of Harrison and Sixth, with driveway on Harrison)
Moscow, Idaho 83843
•Your rental is not confirmed until it has been paid for.
•During your stay you will probably not be the only guests staying in the house. There are 3 apartments. Please be considerate and observe quiet hours from 10pm - 8am at the least.
•There is 1 off-street parking spot for each apartment, be sure you are not taking up two spaces. If you are traveling with more than one vehicle please use parking on Harrison street; do not use more than one parking spot in the driveway.
•All rates include towels and linens, heat, electricity, water, hot water, wireless internet, and AppleTV. Please note there is NO regular cable or television, AppleTV has many choices including PBS, Netflix, some networks but not live local news. (Info on AppleTV here: https://www.apple.com/appletv/)
•Please help keep rates reasonable for everyone by taking short showers, turning down the heat at night and when you’re not in the apartment, not using more towels than you really need and not using them for cleaning rags, leaving the apartment very tidy when you depart, and offering to reimburse us for things that are damaged, stained, or broken during your rental period. Our sheets and towels are high quality and expensive to replace, so everyone please remove your makeup before bed to save the pillowcases. Please let us know if anything is amiss immediately, such as burnt-out lightbulbs, etc. so we can correct it as soon as possible. We - and all our renters - thank you!
•University rentals for visiting professors and faculty are very welcome. We can invoice for University-hosted renters once he/she has arrived and checked in, rather than requiring prepayment.
•Strict cancellation policy: 75% of your payment refunded if cancelled more than 28 days in advance, 50% refund if cancelled between 14 – 28 days in advance, no refund if cancelled less than 14 days in advance. We are not a hotel, we are a rental. Rental reservations are often made for our Retreat several months to a year in advance, and it is very difficult to re-book cancelled rental dates.
•The Dormers apartment is not suitable for rambunctious toddlers because of the wide interior staircase that can’t be gated effectively. The Bay Window apartments are suitable for all ages. A ramp is available for the front porch for wheelchair access if required. The apartments are not necessarily handicapped accessible and as the house was built in 1918, certainly do not meet ADA standards in any way. Please request ramp in advance.
•No smoking or candles inside the house or within 20 feet of the entrances. We maintain an environment as fresh and allergen-free as possible.
•We love all animals, but many of our renters are allergic to pets and they are hard to clean up after no matter how wonderful they are, therefore, no pets are allowed at the Sixth Street Retreat under any circumstances, not even as temporary day visitors. We can give recommendations for local boarding facilities upon request.
•If you’re visiting the Retreat with children we’d appreciate it if they eat or drink while sitting at the dining table, not while sitting on upholstered furniture or on a rug or carpet. This helps prevent furniture disasters that are very difficult to clean up. We have a portable playpen and a high chair available upon request. There are various toys available as well such as blocks, Lincoln Logs, board games, etc. Please ask where to find these.
•Please don’t try illegal downloads of music or movies off the internet at the Sixth Street Retreat. The internet provider will immediately shut off service to the entire house, not just individual apartments.
•If you log in to any of the services on AppleTV, please log out of them before you leave to insure that the next renter does not use your account.
•No overnight camping on the lawn or in the driveway.
